Exhibitions and Awards
Solo Exhibitions:
Khatim Adlan Center - Khartoum, 2012
This exhibition was part of an event called "Trio of Music, Color, and Theater," which blended different creative forms to deliver messages that contributed to cultural movement. The exhibition included around 20 pieces focused on women in various states, emphasizing their expressive energy, aesthetic value, and symbolic significance. The primary focus was on women's rights and dignity, particularly Sudanese women's struggle for freedom and a dignified life. A prior workshop on violence against women influenced my choice of themes and the overall concept of the exhibition.
Shams Gallery - Khartoum, 2008
This exhibition was the result of various artistic experiments with materials and styles. It did not follow a specific theme but rather explored different ideas and reflections on daily life, nature, and social conditions. Notable pieces included one depicting a dervish and his spiritual connection and another of a South Sudanese woman with distinctly African features, inspired by my time in Juba.
German Cultural Center - Khartoum, 2004
This exhibition stemmed from my experiences while working as a lecturer in Juba, South Sudan. The city's culture, environment, and people significantly influenced my artistic vision. My exposure to the diverse cultural groups and their rich traditions inspired many of the pieces in this exhibition, which served as a culmination of my artistic journey in Juba.
Al-Alemin Club - Khartoum, 1999
My first solo exhibition, showcasing my early artistic endeavors. My late father, a major supporter of my art, encouraged me from a young age. The exhibition included black-and-white illustrations and landscape paintings. Held in a local cultural and social club, it attracted a diverse audience, many of whom were not regular visitors to art galleries.
